Akshay Kumar has unveiled ‘Sharmana’, a new music video that claims the distinction of being India’s first to be shot entirely within a virtual studio environment with AI integration. Presented by K Sera Sera, the project brings together music and emerging production technology, highlighting a growing shift toward virtual filmmaking in the Indian entertainment industry.
Released in February 2026, ‘Sharmana’ is composed, sung, and directed by Ramji Gulati and is now streaming across major digital platforms. The video uses digitally created environments and controlled virtual sets, moving away from conventional physical locations to explore a more technology-driven visual format.
The music video features actor Rohan Mehra in a leading role alongside debutant actress Hiyaa. Rap vocals are contributed by Big Luv, with lyrics written by Kunwar Juneja. The collaborators combine performance, fashion, and stylised virtual visuals to build the narrative of the song.
Speaking about the project, Ramji Gulati said, “‘Sharmana’ is not just a song for me; it’s a creative statement. Shooting entirely in a virtual studio allowed us to imagine without limitations and design visuals that would be impossible in traditional setups. This is an exciting step toward the future of music videos.”
Rohan Mehra, who plays the male lead, shared his experience of working with the new format, saying, “Working on ‘Sharmana’ was completely different from anything I’ve done before. Performing in a virtual studio changes the way you approach a scene and opens up new creative possibilities.”
Debutant Hiyaa also spoke about being part of the project, adding, “The scale and vision of ‘Sharmana’ are truly unique. Being part of a project that experiments with new technology while telling a strong visual story has been incredibly special for me.”
With the song, K Sera Sera and Ramji Gulati explore the possibilities of virtual production in music videos, signalling how technology could play a larger role in future creative projects. The song is currently available for streaming worldwide.
