Maidaan, directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, delves into the true story of Syed Abdul Rahim, a figure who left an indelible mark on Indian football. Ajay Devgn essays the role of Rahim, showcasing his journey of dedication and pride in bringing glory to the nation through the sport. The film boasts a talented ensemble cast including Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh. Adding to its allure is the musical brilliance of Oscar-winner AR Rahman.

The path to bringing Maidaan to the big screen has been riddled with challenges. In 2020, producer Boney Kapoor faced setbacks when the film set had to be dismantled due to pandemic-induced lockdowns. Subsequently, in May 2021, Cyclone Tauktae wreaked havoc, destroying the reconstructed set. Despite these hurdles, the film persevered, poised to captivate audiences when it hit theatres on April 10.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is set to enthral audiences with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, slated for release on Eid 2024. Shot across picturesque locations spanning Mumbai, London, Abu Dhabi, Scotland, and Jordan, the film promises a cinematic spectacle of grand proportions. Produced by a stellar team including Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie features Prithviraj Sukumaran in a captivating negative role, alongside Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F in pivotal roles.
