We had earlier mentioned that Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, who is fondly addressed as 'Gabbar', will be debuting as a talk show host with Dhawan Karenge. The show premiered on JioCinema Premium on May 22 and in the first episode, Shikhar enjoyed the company of his superstar friend Akshay Kumar. The duo discussed Akshay's life, his family along with the countless memorable moments they have spent together since they share a deep-rooted friendship.

Reminiscing about a delightful encounter Shikhar had with Akshay’s daughter, the cricketer shared how pleasantly surprised he was by her remarkable wit. Responding to it, Akshay insisted that Nitara has the same personality as his wife, actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna. During the show, speaking about his 11-year-old daughter, Akshay Kumar shared, “My daughter takes after her mother in personality and wit. I'm fortunate to have such bright children. My son moved to London at fifteen, a decision that initially concerned me, but I recall leaving home at fourteen for independence. He enjoys studying remotely and loves to stay in the hostel. Now he does his own laundry, prepares his own food and he doesn't opt for expensive clothes when he knows his father can buy it for him. He goes to a shop called ‘Thrifty’ where people buy 2nd hand clothes. He lives a very simple life.”

He further added, “When in London, I drop off my daughter at school, then my son at university, and finally my wife at her university. Afterwards, I return home like an illiterate and watch cricket. I'm blessed to have a partner who, at nearly 50, still desires to learn. I am surprised by the way she perceives life. Watching her I feel a lot like going back to college but the minute I open my book, I start crying.”
