With films like Toilet – Ek Prem Katha and his forthcoming release next year Padman, Akshay Kumar has emerged as one of the superstars who can resonate with small town. The actor, who has time and again been a part of campaigns related to causes like women’s safety, road safety among others, has now extended his support towards Government’s latest initiative for the benefit of farmers.
Akshay Kumar has joined the Soil Health Card initiative wherein farmers are asked to get a soil check-up done every two years. In order to understand the requirements as well as benefits of a particular kind of soil, the Government has decided to kick off the campaign wherein they are urging the farmers to acquire a certain ‘soil health card’ by getting their soil checked frequently.
Akshay Kumar even went on to do a commercial wherein he explains to a farmer about the benefits of owning a soil health card and the need for it. Sharing it on his Instagram page, the actor added, “Just like we monitor our health with regular check-ups, the health of soil needs to be checked every two years. On the other hand, talking about his upcoming films, Akshay Kumar is looking forward for an exciting year ahead. Besides Padman, the actor’s much talked about multi lingual 2.0 opposite Rajinikanth too will be releasing in summer 2018. The superstar will also be seen in Reema Kagti’s Gold and he has also been signed to play the protagonist in Bhushan Kumar’s ambitious film Mogul.
