Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is known for her beauty across the globe, recently seems to have fallen under scrutiny of netizens yet again. A video of the actress speaking about her friendship with men over women has gone viral on social media as netizens criticized her for belittling her own species. This conversation featured her alongside her husband Abhishek Bachchan and Karan Johar and seems to be from one of the episodes of Koffee With Karan.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan set the internet on fire with netizens finding a piece of her interview on social media. In the interview, the actress is seen discussing her camaraderie with men and women as she insisted that she gels better with men than women because she cannot have girly conversations about bags, and dresses with females. “I cannot have typically girly conversations. It is a big part of what we do but I cannot talk about bags, shoes etc.” Netizens felt that the comment about women were extremely generalized as they expressed their displeasure and disappointment over the actress’ remark.

“Who said girls only have conversations about shoes, dress make up and all, there is a lot more what girls discuss, categorizing all this as typically girly, not cool,” said one of the users. A user also called Aishwarya ‘insecure’ adding, “I've found most women who talk like this to be very insecure. Shes clearly afraid of being outsmarted by another woman, as her only weapon is her looks, which in reality will work better on men.” Yet another one asserted that she is indeed ‘belittling them’ even if she insisted that she did not. “She belittled all the girls and ended with "I am not belittling girls" and for your kind information, girls talk about alot more than just "shoes, bags, stylists, hair" I don't know what girls she is talking about but theres much more to girls than just this”. “She probably has no substance and can’t click with women. Women are tough to befriend because you gotta be funny, relatable and down to earth,” read another comment.

On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan last appeared in Ponniyin Selvan aka PS 2 alongside an ensemble cast which included Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, and others and was directed by Mani Ratnam. The pan India film released on April 28.
