Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared a heartfelt tribute to her late father, Krishnaraj Rai, on his birth anniversary. The actress posted previously unseen photos of her daughter Aaradhya as a young child, holding on to her grandfather while he carried her in his arms. In one of the images, Aaradhya was seen reaching out to kiss his cheek. Aishwarya also added more recent pictures from Aaradhya’s 14th birthday, where both mother and daughter were seen offering prayers in front of Krishnaraj Rai’s portrait.

Alongside the photos, Aishwarya wrote a touching note celebrating her father’s enduring presence in their lives. She shared, “Happy Birthday dearest Daddy-Ajjaaa, our Guardian Angel. Love you eternally. Thanking you for ALL your infinite love and blessings as our Aaradhya turned 14.”

Remembering Krishnaraj Rai

After her father’s passing in 2017, Aishwarya continued to honour his birth anniversary every year, often by spending time at home and reaching out to the underprivileged. Krishnaraj Rai passed away on March 18, 2017, at a hospital in Mumbai, and his memory has remained a central part of the Bachchan family’s private commemorations.

Aishwarya’s moving speech in Puttaparthi

The actress’ tribute came just a day after she received widespread praise online for her inspiring speech at the birth centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi. Speaking at the event, Aishwarya said that Baba’s teachings continued to resonate in the hearts of millions and encouraged people to recommit themselves to his message of compassion and service.

“As we celebrate 100 years of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s blessed advent, may we all rededicate ourselves to his divine message—love all, serve all. There is only one caste, the caste of humanity. There is only one religion, the religion of love. There is only one language, the language of the heart. And there is only one God, and he is omnipresent,” she said.
