Amitabh Bachchan has heaped praise on his son Abhishek Bachchan for his upcoming film, Ghoomer. The legendary actor took to Twitter to react to a tweet and revealed that he has seen a “few shots” of the film.

"Bhaiyu .. my love and wishes for GHOOMER .. seen a few shots and it is amazing how you change and adapt characters in tune with the subject of the film .. my prayers and wishes," Amitabh wrote. For the unversed, Ghoomer is a sports drama film directed by R Balki. It stars Abhishek and Saiyami Kher in the lead roles. The film is set to release on August 18.

In the film, Abhishek plays the role of a coach who trains a paraplegic woman to become a cricketer. The film has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Before its theatrical release, the forthcoming film will also be premiered at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2023 on August 12 at Hoyts, Docklands.

The Ghoomer trailer was slated to have its trailer launch today, that is August 3. However, Abhishek has announced that the trailer launch has been postponed as a mark of respect to the late art director Nitin Desai, who died by suicide on August 2 in Karjat.
