The makers of Aakhri Sawal, starring Sanjay Dutt, have released a new teaser that sheds light on a pivotal and lesser-known moment in Indian history, a private meeting between Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and Mahatma Gandhi in 1934. The film is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Abhijeet Mohan Warang.
The latest teaser builds on the intrigue generated by earlier promotional material, offering a dramatic glimpse into what the makers present as a significant historical interaction. Opening with a question around what transpired during the meeting, the teaser portrays a tense and layered exchange between the two figures, suggesting a narrative rooted in real events while exploring perspectives that remain largely undocumented.
Aakhri Sawal has been positioned as a thought-provoking project that delves into complex and debated chapters of India’s past. Alongside the Hedgewar-Gandhi interaction, the film is expected to touch upon issues such as the ban on the RSS and narratives surrounding the Babri Masjid, placing these events within a broader socio-political context.

The ensemble cast includes Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Sameera Reddy, Tridha Choudhury, and Neetu Chandra. The film is backed by producers Nikhil Nanda and Sanjay Dutt under the banner of Nikhil Nanda Motion Pictures, with co-producers Puneet Nanda, Dr. Deepak Singh, Gaurav Dubey, and Ujjwal Anand.
The screenplay, story, and dialogues have been written by Utkarsh Naithani, while the music is composed by Monty Sharma with lyrics by Kumar Vishwas. With its latest teaser raising questions about historical narratives and interpretations, Aakhri Sawal continues to build anticipation ahead of its theatrical release on May 8, 2026.
