The romantic blockbuster co-starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Mahima Chaudhary in important roles.

Helmed by Dharmesh Darshan, the film made headlines for various reasons including its music, power-packed performances and storyline. For the unversed, Dhadkan traces the story of two star-crossed lovers, who are forced to part ways, and how later after three years when they meet, there is nostalgia, anguish, destruction and eventually, peace.

In her career spanning over two decades, Dhadkan was one of Shilpa Shetty Kundra's most successful films and continues to get showered with the same amount of love even today. To mark the occassion, Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram handle to share an old video where she is seen talking about her character.

"Celebrating #20YearsOfDhadkan. Time flies... it truly does! Felt a rather strong wave of nostalgia when I came across this footage @lehrentv, took me back two decades. Cannot believe it’s time to celebrate #20YearsOfDhadkan. feels so weird to hear myself speak from 20 years ago

So many memories come to mind... the trendsetting outfitsby @manishmalhotra05, the biting cold shooting in Interlaken (Switzerland) in those outfits.

My director, @dharmesh.darshan addressing me as Anjali on the sets (never as Shilpa), this is undoubtedly one of the most special films and a huge milestone in my career. But, what I loved the most about the movie was its lilting music... timeless! Weirdly, even Akshay had said that this music is so melodious that it'll work even in 2020. Honestly, I can't believe that I'm still a part of this milieu celebrating this movie, it’s been such an incredible journey. Thank you to my audiences for making this one such a memorable experience...," she wrote along with the video.

Meanwhile, the actress will be next seen in the Sabbir Khan directorial Nikamma. The romantic action comedy will also feature Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia in interesting roles.
