Oscar-winner Helen Mirren and Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford will star in the highly anticipated 1932, an origin story for creator Taylor Sheridan's record-breaking series Yellowstone set at Paramount+.
1932 introduces a new generation of the Dutton family and will explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the Mountain West, and the Duttons who call it home. Harrison Ford will star as grizzled family patriarch Jacob Dutton with Helen Mirren as his wife Cara, an Irish immigrant.
As noted by Entertainment Weekly, while 1883, the first prequel to the Paramount Network series, took us back to the Wild West, 1923 will explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.
The teaser dropped during Sunday's season 5 premiere of Yellowstone. "Violence has always haunted this family," Isabel May's Elsa Dutton from 1883 narrates in the background. "And followed us from the Scottish Highlands to the slums of Dublin, and it followed us here."
