Dev Anand, born on September 26, 1923, is hailed as one of the most accomplished actors in the history of the Bollywood film industry. Over a career spanning nearly six decades, he etched an indelible mark through his diverse roles in iconic films like Guide, Taxi Driver, Jewel Thief, and CID. Dev Anand was renowned for his ability to break new ground in cinema, portraying characters as diverse as a smuggler in Jaal, an absconding gang member in Dushman, a black marketeer in Kala Bazar, and a murderer in Bombay Ka Babu.

Dev Anand's illustrious journey in the world of cinema came to a poignant end on December 3, 2011, when he took his last breath in his room at The Washington Mayfair Hotel in London at the age of 88.
