Last week's release SINGHAM RETURNS featuring Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor worked wonders at the box-office. However this week's release MARDAANI that released across 1250 screens and sees Rani Mukerji in an action packed avatar has taken a very average start at the box office. With today being a working day, the footfalls from the evening show onwards as well as the word of mouth will be decisive factor on the verdict.
Simultaneously, the other releases MAD ABOUT DANCE and LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL do not even come close to a respectable opening, thanks to the limited number of shows that again are restricted to certain cineplex chains. On the other hand, Hollywood release EXPENDABLES 3 that was expected to do well, has suffered a poor start at the box office.
