A WEDNESDAY and HIJACK, both well publicized prior to their release, opened on a slow note. A WEDNESDAY had a 15%-20% start at big centres, although the reports are excellent. The trade is hopeful that the film will pick up in a big way. HIJACK had a better start, garnering 25%-30% opening. The reports are quite okay and it remains to be seen if it shows an increase in business. TAHAAN caters to a niche audience and therefore, had a tepid start. Meanwhile, ROCK ON!! was rock-steady on 8th day as well. At places, even better than the new releases.
