While she has promoted films donning attires of her reel life characters, Vidya has always maintained that she is very comfortable with sarees. Now that it has become a fashion statement of the actress, Vidya Balan has been roped in by Craftsvilla.com as the brand ambassador to celebrate World Ethnic Day on June 19.
Founder of Craftsvilla.com Manoj Gupta mentioned that there is synergy between the vision of their company and Vidya Balan's thoughts and added that Vidya is one of those few actresses who can make ethnic look cool. On the other hand, Vidya Balan is equally excited about being associated with the brand and called this as 'opportunity' where we all can go back to our roots. Also viewing this as a means of helping the handloom artisans of our country, Vidya expressed her happiness about spreading awareness about their plight, so that the promotions can increase the sales of ethnic wears that has been created by them.
Also on the work front, Vidya Balan, who is busy with the promotions of Hamari Adhuri Kahaani, is contemplating on signing a television chat show. Revealing about it, Vidya maintained that if she indeed decides to go ahead with the chat show, she may put her future films on hold and will be keeping herself busy with the television commitment for four weeks. While she is thrilled about the concept, Vidya also stated that this talk show is about day-to-day issues. However, the other details of the show are still being kept under wraps.
