Ramesh Taurani is currently busy with his film Race 2, which has been in news for its mammoth star-cast. Even as Race 2 goes on floors, Taurani is already contemplating his next, which is said to be a remake of the 2010 Telugu film Don Seenu.
Considering remakes of South Indian films are the flavour of the season, Tips Films has purchased the rights of the Ravi Teja, Shriya Saran and Anjana Sukhani starrer Don Seenu.
Says Ramesh Taurani, “Yes, we have bought the rights of Don Seenu, and will be remaking it in Hindi. However, we have not yet decided on the cast of the film, as we still need to make a few changes to the script which was mainly written to fit the South Indian audience. Once we have finalized the script and the cast, we will start shooting the film.”
When quizzed about the selection of this particular film for remake, Taurani adds, “When we saw the film, we immediately thought that the film was perfect and it had a great story line, so why not remake it in Hindi? As for the shoot of the film, like I said we will start it shortly but cannot say whether it will be midway through Race 2 or post that.”
