The Shah brothers of Time Magnetics -- Dhirubhai, Pravin and Hasmukh -- are contemplating something ground-breaking, which, if it succeeds, will usher in a new era for the Hindi film industry. They are in the process of tying up with video parlours all over India to telecast their films from a satellite, the control room of which will will be set in Mumbai. "That's true," Pravinbhai confirms the development and adds, "Actually, we have already spoken to several video parlours to become members, since we have an impressive repertoire of old films, but everything is in the planning stages at the moment." If they succeed in their latest endeavour, the next step will be to release their feature films the same way. "Yes, but that will follow later. It will save us the expense of processing prints for theatres and at the same time, curtail piracy to a major extent. Imagine releasing your new film at more than a thousand theatres across the country at one go," Pravinbhai sounds excited. Path-breaking indeed. Let's wait and watch!
