Subhash Ghai and Channel [V], leading music channel, have announced the launch of DiscoStar, an international hunt for India's new glamour girl. The hunt for DiscoStar will be held across India, U.K. and Dubai and will give aspiring young stars a chance to perform and groove to the beats of a rocking song in an upcoming Mukta Arts Ltd.'s film. The hunt is open to women over the age of 18, who have what it takes to make it big in Bollywood. The short-listed candidates will be called for an audition to Mumbai. Ghai himself will chair the final jury panel. The journey from audition to the launch of the glamour girl is expected to take a few months.
