Among the many Bollywood actors who would be participating in the event is the cute and talented Soha Ali Khan. Soha, who is always known for lending her support to charitable causes, will now be seen supporting Rahul Bose's charitable trust 'The Foundation'. 'The Foundation' was founded by Rahul Bose in 2006 to help bridge geographical, social and psychological barriers in India.
Soha will be taking part in the Dream Run alongside the 6 children from 'The Foundation'. Speaking about her participation, Soha says, "I am happy to be participating in the 2009 Mumbai Marathon Dream Run. I will be representing Rahul Bose's charitable trust 'The Foundation'. The recent terror attacks in Mumbai and the dangerous cocktail of terrorism and politics that our leaders are now engaging in are testing our nation's unity. It has been said that peace is far too important to be left to politicians alone. We require people to stand together, resolute and unanimous in the face of mud-slinging, war-mongering and jingoism. The Mumbai Marathon is a powerful symbol of our nation's oneness in this difficult time and I am proud to be a part of it ".
The Mumbai Marathon is indeed one such occasion where differences melt away and the entire city comes together to show the spirit of oneness.
