After choreographing songs for Yash Chopra's DIL TO PAGAL HAI and Subhash Ghai's TAAL, ace choreographer Shiamak Davar did not take up any film assignments. The offers weren't tempting enough, Shiamak tells me. But the response to his choreographed numbers at I.I.F.A., Johannesburg earlier this year made actors and producers sit up and take note of the immense talent he possesses. And one of the producers who seemed besotted by his work was Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Reportedly, Sanjay has approached Shiamak with an offer to choreograph the songs of his costume drama BAJIRAO MASTANI, starring Salman Khan in the lead. Besides this plum assignment, Shiamak has also been offered an international project, the details of which are being worked out.
