Some say he has lost it, other's say he is a failed genius but keeping all these definitions aside, Ram Gopal Varma is one of India's most unpredictable directors when it comes to box office successes. His last big critical acclaim came with a huge success in the form of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Sarkar followed by the sequel Sarkar Raj that surprised a lot of industry insiders as it made it to the Top Ten movies in the UK during its release. Then there were speculations of Hrithik Roshan playing the role of 'Chiku' (grandson of Sarkar) in Sarkar 3 and talks of Ranbir Kapoor being approached for the role too made front pages.
But all said and done, Sarkar fans can rejoice again because come October 2012, Ramu's much awaited Sarkar 3 will see the light of the day. Ram Gopal Varma was heard quoting on the sets of Bhoot 2 that is currently being shot in Pali Hill, Bandra, "Sarkar 3 will go on floors this October. The script is almost ready," he said.
Sarkar 3 will also mark Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's first movie post motherhood along with father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan. The question is - Will Abhishek Bachchan be the 'Chiku' Ramu is looking for? If yes, this will surely be a biggie in the making and if no, well, it still is!
