We had informed you almost a month back that Priyanka Chopra may lose Anees Bazmee's Benaam and that's exactly what has happened. The reason cited of course is the usual date problem. While the film's other artists - Ajay Devgan and Bhumika Chawla have allotted bulk dates for Benaam, Priyanka had been constantly struggling to adjust her dates for the film. Some days back, Devgan even wasted 10 days of shoot for the film since Chopra cancelled her dates at the last moment. And then the actress was agreeable to shoot only from October 15 since she has committed to Shahrukh Khan's world tour from September. So the producer of the film Snigdha Patel (daughter of Dinesh Patel) finally replaced Priyanka with Sameera Reddy. (Incidentally Priyanka and Sameera starred together in Plan earlier this year though they didn't share any screen time in the film). Priyanka was to play a prostitute in the Benaam and had even shot for two days. However things didn't work out in her favor. She even had to return her signing amount of Rs 11 lakhs when the producer lodged a complaint with the IMPAA. This is Priyanka's second loss in a row after stepping out of Karan Johar's film to be directed by Soham Shah. Hope she doesn't goes in for a hattrick with the heavy load of projects currently on her hands that include Abbas-Mustan's Aitraaz, Girish Dhamija's Yakeen, Suneel Darshan's Barsaat and Blackmail.
