Salman Khan’s fight for the real Sarabjit is not included in Omung Kumar’s film

en Bollywood News Salman Khan’s fight for the real Sarabjit is not included in Omung Kumar’s film

Superstar Salman Khan through his Being Human initiative and otherwise has extended his support to varied social causes. The actor in his generous nature had also requested the fans and general public to sign a petition way back in 2012, in support of Dalbir Kaur who was then fighting for the release of her brother Sarabjit Singh from Pakistan prison. However, we hear that this part of the actor's support to the struggle hasn't been included in the film Sarbjit, a biopic on the Pakistani prisoner.

Earlier in June 2012, we had reported that Salman Khan had taken to Twitter to ask his Pakistani fans to come in support of Dalbir Kaur's fight for justice for her brother Sarabjit, who was on the death row in Pakistan jail and was being falsely accused as a spy. The superstar had tweeted, "Requesting the people of pakistan to support me to help free surabjeet who has been in prison since 30 yrs . Please . Allah ka vasta. Request to the awam of pakistan, member"s of the press, govt of pakistan, president zardari, a humble request. It would be the most amazing gesture, to send surabjeet back to his family after 30 years. Hope u support me like its your own cause." He had further also added, "B a part of 1 family's happiness. Wanted to tweet this for the longest time, saw a pic of surabjeets sister, it Killed me. Felt real sad for her. Help me help her. Its a personal request to all of u in pakistan to send sarabjeet bak to his family in punjab, hope u find it in your hearts to help." However, it is now being said that there is no mention of Salman Khan or the petition that he asked his fans and others to sign to free Sarabjit from jail. In fact, Salman Khan even met up with Dalbir Kaur who visited him on the sets of the film Dabangg 2 which the actor was shooting for back then.

Reasons that are being stated have a link to Salman Khan's past relationship with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who plays the role of Dalbir Kaur in the Omung Kumar directorial Sarbjit. Apparently, the actress is still not on talking terms with her former boyfriend Salman and did not want to share screen space with him despite him being an active part of the said struggle. On the other hand, the spokesperson of the film maintained that since the film spans through 23 years and it is impossible to incorporate every minute detail. So, some of the incidents had to be done away with.

Starring Randeep Hooda as Sarbjit, the film is slated to release on May 13.
