Just yesterday, the industry and fans were sent into a tizzy with the verdict in the Salman Khan Blackbuck poaching case being declared. After the Jodhpur court sentenced the actor to a 5 year jail term, Salman Khan’s council had applied for bail. Now the latest in the bail hearing is that the court has reserved its judgement till tomorrow, while in the interim asking for records from the actor’s previous cases.
After spending a night in jail as qaidi number 106, it seems like Salman Khan who was convicted yesterday in the 20 year old blackbuck poaching case will spend another night in prison. As per reports, the Jodhpur Sessions Court that has been hearing the actor’s bail plea has adjourned the same and has sought for records from Salman’s previous cases. As of now, the hearing on the actor’s bail plea will resume tomorrow with a verdict likely to be delivered after both sides have concluded their argument.
As for the case itself, reports claim that Salman Khan’s legal counsel has submitted a 51 page argument challenging the verdict. However, the actor’s lawyer confirmed that they haven’t challenged the jail term but just have appealed for bail in today’s argument. If the trial court were to consider their appeal in the Chinkara case then they can also consider this case.
If that wasn’t all, reports also claim that Salman Khan’s lawyer Mahesh Bora has received threat calls last night. Bora alleged that the calls were made from Dubai and Australia, and were purportedly done by the Ravi Pujari gang, asking him to leave the case.
