Ayan Mukerji's first preference is always Ranbir Kapoor who has been a part of his previous films, Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. And now, Ayan is ready to make yet another film with his friend.
Speculations were that his next with Ranbir will have the Kapoor boy playing the role of a superhero. Though Ranbir did not divulge many details, he revealed that he will indeed star in this fantasy film which will have a mythological backdrop. In this film, he will play a boy who will have some form of superpowers; however, it will be different from other superhero films. The actor also mentioned that we tend to compare the term 'superhero' with Hollywood characters like Spider-man or Super-man but here that may not be the case.
Claiming Ayan to be a genius writer, Ranbir also maintained this untitled film is an ambitious project for the filmmaker and he is currently busy writing an apt script for the same. However, Ayan is also keeping a close tab on the budget as he does not want it to go overboard.
While the actor is all ready to sail with the captain, the actress for the same is yet to be announced. It was only recently that Alia Bhatt's name was floating around for the film but Ayan and Ranbir have been mum about the leading lady.
Ranbir is currently busy with many projects in his kitty and that includes Anurag Basu's Bombay Velvet, Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha, Vikramjit Singh's Roy and also the Kishore Kumar biopic is in the pipeline. The actor will be concentrating on other projects only after he wraps up the shoot of all these films.
