Director Manoj Agarwal's next film, for a well-known producer, will not feature his regular Govinda. Having worked with the talented actor in PARDESI BABU, HADH KARDI AAPNE and WAAH! TERA KYA KEHNA, Agarwal is opting for Anil Kapoor this time. Not beating around the bush unlike other makers, Agarwal says, Govinda and I have been friends for the last seventeen years. It is just that the role doesn't demand Govinda." Agarwal admits that he has been talking to Anil Kapoor. But adds that everything is still in the primary stage. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalised. Set to commence three months later, this is Agarwal's costliest and biggest enterprise till date. The budgeting is being worked out currently. But it can exceed Rs. 25 crores. Though he is reluctant to divulge more details, he does give a hint of the storyline. In a nutshell, it is a love story with a social message. The highlight of the film will be its treatment in tackling the social problems, he says. To be shot in France, Rajasthan and several sets in Mumbai, the film will take at least a year's time to complete.
