Given the master filmmaker Karan Johar's keen vision for making blockbusters, it doesn't come as a surprise when we heard (from the market buzz/sources) that he has bought the rights of Hollywood action comedy flick 21 Jump Street. Not just that, the buzz is also that he is even considering Tiger Shroff for one of the lead roles in the film.
Even though repeated attempts to establish contacts with Dharma Productions' Apoorva Mehta to confirm the same yielded no results, news is that Karan Johar is planning to start the film by around mid-next year.
Readers may recall that, in the past, Karan had remade the Hollywood film Stepmom as We Are Family, and lately, he even purchased the rights of Warrior which is being remade in Hindi as Brothers starring Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra. Karan Johar also holds the remake rights of the French film The Intouchables which will be directed by Mohit Suri.
