While everyone got talking about Simran after Kangna Ranaut wrapped up Rangoon, yet another woman oriented film that the actress is a part of, is the historical drama Rani Laxmibai. This Rani of Jhansi is known for her courage and is considered as one of the most inspiring queens of that era. Now we hear that the film will get an international twist.
Revealing details of the same was filmmaker Ketan Mehta, who mentioned that the film will have an international cast and crew. The film will be shot in varied locations like Jhansi, Varanasi and Gwalior among others. Kangna Ranaut, on the other hand will undergo workshops for several things like hand to hand combats, how to ride in a sari with a baby tied to her back, fighting with two swords etc. The actress is also looking forward to build an emotional bond with the horse which will be seen as Badal in the film. For the uninitiated, Badal proved to be the biggest supporter of Rani Laxmibai in several of her fights.
Kangna Ranaut went to the extent of stating that she won’t be signing any film until mid next year. The actress also has a special connection with Rani Laxmibai, because as a six year old, Kangna had once recited the poem on the fierce queen by Subhadra Kumari Chauhan at an Independence Day function.
