After making a multi-hero film like QAYAMAT, one would've expected Harry Baweja to start another multi-hero project. But his immediate project will star his son Harman in the lead along with a new leading lady.
But before you think that it's a routine boy-meets-girl love story, hold on. It's a 'time travel film' a love story based in 2050.
Harman was being trained for the last four years, Harry tells me, Plus, I needed to launch my son some day and it's the right time to do so. Harman, a 6 footer with a strapping personality, has been trained in the U.S., besides undergoing training under the tutelage of Kishore Namit Kapoor in Mumbai.
For the heroine's part, Harry has yet to finalise the right face. It's not about looking glamorous only. It's a performance-oriented role, he divulges.
A sci-fi fare, the story starts off in 2004 and travels to 2050. The special effects are going to cost a ton, Harry laughs. To get the desired effects, Harry is all set to leave for a whirlwind tour of Australia, U.S.A., U.K. and Germany in January 2004 to finalise special effects' packages, plus foreign technicians for the film.
However, Harry denies that the decision to start a sci-fi film has anything to do with the success of KOI MIL GAYA. For those who think that K.M.G. inspired me to make this film, let me correct them. The script has been registered way back in 1999, much before K.M.G. was even launched.
He continues, The script was with me for the last four years and I felt it's the right time to attempt the film. Also, the cinema-going audience has matured over the years, so attempting something different within commercial parameters shouldn't be a problem.
Harry also hopes to have brainstorming sessions with the music director, costume designers, special effect experts, make-up artistes since the story travels from 2004 to 2050. You have to work doubly hard if you are associating with a futuristic film, smiles Harry.
Continuing in the same breath, he adds, Music plays an integral part in my film. However, I've yet to finalise the music director and other technicians for the film. The screenplay of this flick has been penned by Karan Razdan, Anjum Rajabali, Suparn Verma and Harry himself.
Budgeted between Rs. 15 and Rs. 20 crores, the colossal project will roll in February 2004 and will conclude within the course of a year.
Besides this project, Harry is all set to start two more films the first with Sunny Deol and the second with Ajay Devgan. The project with Sunny will begin shooting in June 2004 and will be wrapped in non-stop three months flat.
And as soon as this project gets completed, Harry will embark on his third project, which will star Ajay Devgan in the lead. Shooting for this film will begin from September 2004 onwards.
