Though it's enormously hush-hush at the moment, here's the news on the biggest singing talent ready to burst on to the music scene in 2008. It's none other than director-turned actor Farhan Akhtar who not only produces and stars in Rock On; he also sings as many as four songs in the film. The film features Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny and Farhan as members of a rock band. Farhan went into the studio very recently to record four tracks, all solos composed by close friends and collaborators Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. This probably makes Farhan the only director in the world who's not just an actor but also a singer
