Raju Chadha Chairman Wave Group, Sunil Lulla MD Eros International and Parag Sanghavi CEO of Alumbra Entertainment have signed a multi-film joint production and distribution deal. Seen as a big development in the Indian entertainment and film arena, this deal will see the three large players come together to create and produce an exciting and diverse array of content.
As a first step of this strategic alliance, the trio has joined hands with Abundantia Entertainment for a two-film deal that includes the remake of Hollywood hit, Chef to star Saif Ali Khan and Nishikant Kamat's next film after John Abraham starrer Rocky Handsome. The alliance has also green-lit the third edition of the much-loved and successful Sarkar franchise.
"Marrying good content with box office success will be our focus & we are happy to partner with likeminded big players," said Raju Chadha. In the same breadth Sunil Lulla adds, "We are excited at this collaboration and are happy to leverage the individual strengths of all partners. More importantly the audiences should look forward to some entertaining content arising from this collaboration".
"Businesses thrive on synergy and I am glad that we were able to forge such a wonderful consortium which will bring forward some exciting and engaging cinema", said Parag Sanghavi, who along with Rahul Mittra, filmmaker and CEO Wave Cinemas was instrumental in structuring this deal. Mittra and Parag are now busy planning the production of the above mentioned films, apart from locking other coveted big film projects for the coming year.
