Mahendra Dhariwal, producer of MAA TUJHHE SALAAM, had a special screening of the film for Defence Ministry officials on January 8 to secure a no-objection certificate and rule out any controversy after its release. "They were all impressed with the film and have given it a clear go-ahead," he reveals. A special screening for the Prime Minister has also been confirmed on January 15. Dhariwal is also firm about his earlier decision to cash in on the Republic Day fervour and distribute flags of the film at all major junctions. "Right now, there is a strong patriotic sentiment running among the masses and the film is bound to derive advantage out of it," he says. To make the best out of the situation, he is planning to release the film with a record 500 prints all over India, out of which 85-90 prints will be released in Mumbai and 80 in Delhi-U.P.
