Back in 2010, Deepika Padukone finally became an owner of a sprawling 4BHK apartment worth Rs. 16 crore which is situated in Prabhadevi, South Mumbai. Now, the actress has invested a huge sum of money in another flat which she has gifted it to a special man in her life.
Yes, you heard it right. As Deepika Padukone lives on the 26th floor, she has booked the flat 3001 on the 30th floor in the same tower for none other than her father, Prakash Padukone. It has been reported that Deepika has paid a whopping Rs. 40 crore for the flat. According to a source, Prakash Padukone and his wife just love Deepika’s house and are impressed by the complex. In order to keep her parents close, Deepika decided to gift the apartment to her dad.
Reports also suggest that Deepika Padukone might use the 4BHK flat as her new office space. According to a source, she always wanted to buy another property and when she learned that this flat was available in her tower, she booked it. Deepika will be involved with designing the interiors and it’s a classy and elegant space where she can have her meetings.
Back in 2014, Deepika Padukone had said that as a child she used to visit Mumbai every year during Christmas and New Year, to visit my maternal grandfather. Her parents still do that. For her, Mumbai was the city by the sea and when she moved to Mumbai at 18, she told herself that she wanted to invest in a home overlooking the sea.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone is currently busy working with Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi on an untitled project and is also shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s magnum opus Padmavati. She will also be making her Hollywood debut with the Vin Diesel starrer xXx: Return of Xander Cage which is slated to release on January 20, 2017.
