BREAKING: Mumbai Court rejects bail applications of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha in drug case
On Thursday, the court had given the prosecution time to file replies for the bail application by Aryan Khan and the other accused. The hearing on Friday began with the prosecution submitting three replies for three separate bail applications. The reply termed the bail applications "misconceived, ill-conceived, and not maintainable".
Aryan Khan's bail plea read, "I am a 23-year-old with no prior antecedents.I happen to be from Bollywood. I went on an invitation, refused when asked if I have drugs. They were honest not to accuse me of anything else. Data from my mobile has been retrieved and sent for forensics."
"I have parents and a family here. I have an Indian passport and I am not going to abscond. There is no question of tampering. I should be granted bail," the plea further read.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court said, "Heard, considered, decisions cited, applications are not maintainable hence rejected."
All three accused will be taken to Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai and will be kept under judicial custody for the next 14 days.
NCB had seized 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD (mephedrone), 21 grams of charas (small quantity), 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy) (intermediate quantity), and Rs 1,33,000 at International Cruise Terminal, Mumbai. However, they had said in the court on Monday that no drugs were found on Aryan Khan but they discovered small quantity contrabands on the co-accused.
