We had reported that Bhumi Pednekar was trying to move away from girl-next-door image when she opted for something different with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's production, Sejal Supari. Bhumi Pednekar was meant to play a contract killer in the film which would be completely different from debut film and the upcoming roles she has signed on.
But, it seems like the audience won't get to see her in that role. As per a leading daily, Bhumi has walked out of the film. According to a close source, Bhumi had to undergo a complete makeover for Sejal Supari but she walked out of the film for unknown reasons. The film would have marked her entry into the dark and edgy cinema but it seems like things did not work out between her and the makers.
However, after the news was out about her leaving the film, Bhumi Pednekar took to her social media account to deny the news. She clarified saying that, "Been reading abt walking out of Sejal Supari. These stories are baseless. Am Bhansali sirs fan for life.Wld never refuse anything he offers."
Sanjay Leela Bhansali and team are yet to comment this news. Meanwhile, Bhumi is currently shooting for Toilet- Ek Prem Katha starring Akshay Kumar which is scheduled to release on June 2. Besides this film, she will also be reuniting with her Dum Laga Ke Haisha co-star Ayushmann Khurrana for Shubh Mangal Savdhaan.
