Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay on track, to release in January 2017 : Bollywood News

Earlier we had reported that Shivaay has been postponed since Ajay Devgn had plans to concentrate on other films like the Drishyam remake and Baadshaho. Amidst rumours of the film being shelved, suddenly it has been revealed that Shivaay will be releasing on January 26, 2017.

Initially 2015 was supposed to be a disappointing year for Ajay Devgn fans considering that the actor had mentioned that he will be concentrating on his directorial debut Shivaay and not any other films. Even a foreign cast was roped in for the film and the crew had set out to kick start the recee for the film in Canada. However, citing climate conditions, not only did they decide to return but the film was put on the back burner, post which Ajay started work on Nishikant Kamat's Drishyam remake and even signed Milan Luthria's Baadshaho.

Moreover, speculations were on the rise that Eros International too has backed out of Shivaay. Now putting a rest to all these rumours, Shivaay will not only be produced by Ajay Devgn and Eros International, but soon the film will be on track considering the film is slated to release in early 2017.
