India's first zombie comedy film, Shaadi Of The Dead produced by Ekta Kapoor, starring Abhay Deol and Genelia D'Souza, has undergone a change of name and has been retitled as Rock The Shaadi.
The reason behind this change was that producer Ekta Kapoor didn't find the name creative enough and hence threw out the challenge to the cast and creative team of the film. It was after much deliberation that Abhay's suggestion of Rock The Shaadi was locked as being the best of all the names.
The official spokesperson for the film says, "Shaadi Of The Dead was a working title. And the team wanted to make sure that they had the right title before the film goes on floors. So, Ekta threw open the challenge asking if anyone could come up with a new title. Abhay was the closest to the film's concept. So he, in essence, knows the film and hence, could come up with the title."
Rock The Shaadi is a zombie comedy directed by Navdeep Singh which goes on floors soon.
