Aamir Khan has had the busiest year ever. Known for doing one project at a time, this is first time in his career that he has been juggling his magnanimous TV show Satyamev Jayate, release of Talaash and shooting of Dhoom 3, all going on together.
In fact Aamir was scheduled to leave for Chicago to shoot for Dhoom 3 on the night of August 3. With Raksha Bandhan coming up, his initial plan was to celebrate the festival on August 2 and leave the next day.
However, it turned out that Aamir's his entire family had planned a lavish party on August 3 to celebrate the 50th birthday of his sister Nikhat. When Aamir heard about the party, he requested Victor (director of Dhoom 3) and Aditya Chopra if he could leave for the US a day later. On his part, Aamir didn't want to disrupt the shooting schedule.
Victor and Aditya however were more than accommodating and felt Aamir could join the team later on August 6, without any issues.
