I have yet to see a Karan Johar movie, either directed or produced or both, that wasn't beautifully done. Karan understands the importance of a script, as well as the extreme importance of characterization. Action/plot should never become more important than the characters themselves for a film to have true depth and quality. And I dare to say this was as good, if not better, than the original film this script was based on, "Stepmom."
