The fact that Singh Is Kinng was directed by the same man who gave us that amazingly horrific piece of garbage called "Welcome" tells me that this is not a movie anyone should be seeing. In fact, I'm rather dismayed at the Indian movie going public to like it as much as I see they are. I can "check my brain at the door" with the best of them, but I want to see a movie with some substance, not mediocre slapstick, a badly written script, lousy music and very mediocre FX. Akshay is a better actor than this. He was brilliant in "Namastey London." When he starts doing movies of some substance, I'll go to see him again. But I will avoid ANYTHING by Anees Bazmee from now on.
My local theater that shows Hindi films is amazingly brilliant at picking what movies they know are/will be good. They have chosen to avoid this one (like "Welcome") and instead show a Tamil film along with "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na". I respect them even more now.
