Set in pre-independence era, Purab Ki Awaz traces the journey of Urmila Mahanta, who is out on a hunt to avenge the death of her parents.

Urmila Mahanta, who is a member of a secessionist group, is a strong, independent woman. However, amidst all the politics, the death of her parents... and her sister leave her shattered as she sets out to take revenge against the murderers. But one story of a certain Kanaklata Barua changes Urmila’s life as she starts to question her own need for vengeance.
