A well composed film, creativity shines all the way through. The movie is catering to, what seems like, a broad range of target audiences: the locals, the internationals and those who may wish to study it professionally. Exceptional performances by Arjun Rampal and Deepika Padukone. Sharukh's, somewhat lesser intense, baby cute act (in the first hour) makes room for the entire cast to show case its real potential in this sufficient and archaic simulacrum (of the 70s).
2 Thumbs up for Deepika Padukone. Makes the sets and dresses look almost, hmm... majestic, she has a princess-like charm. Looking forward to seeing her rise to to the highest pinnacle of popularity, hope they don't give her crappy roles.
I' ll give this movie best rating because I did not expect the kind of execution they have managed to pull off (considering the unique concept which I saw them pitch in the promos). They did it well though... a sincere well done to the "Om Shanti Om" team.
