Music: Sunil Kaushik
Lyrics: Asif Ali Beg, Sudhakar Sharma & Surendra Mishra
Music Label: Sony Music

Expectations:

Our expectations are very low, because animation films have never yet had a noteworthy score in Hindi cinema.

Music:

The songs, as in all animation films, are functional add-ons. Veteran Sunil Kaushik works hard on a wholesome, acoustic sound with catchy riffs and bars, especially in the two-version English title-song in male and female versions, 'Mighty Raju Coming Rio'. The two songs are sung respectively by Waldermar and Natasha Llerena. A retro club feel mixed with a Hindi film music format makes the song a pleasant listen. Natasha's version sounds more alluring, somehow.

The old-world feel continues in Sunidhi Chauhan's 'Shaher Hai Khushiyon Ka', but the mixing levels of the orchestration are too loud for the vocals and the orchestration emerge as a cluttered melange, where the riffs of the trumpet barely allow us to follow the words. That said, Sunidhi is her usual swinging and cooing self.

Bali Brahmbhatt's 'Yes It's A Goal' has a mix of Hindi and English words that takes us back to the '90s when Bali rapped in almost every song. Here too, Bali talks in rhythm more than actually singing, and it's a very situational track, from which we cannot expect any melodic depth.

Overall:

This is functional fare. In such a film, songs are like appendages, that's all.

Our Pick:

'Mighty Raju Coming Rio'
