earlier I think , I am big movie buff but i refrained myself to watch movie based on Raja-rani. Truly, I have seen Mughal-E-Azam once. it was good but when i watched Jodhaa-Akabr, I must say ashutosh Gowariker is intelligent director. He will surely rembember for his movies.I am in doubt whether he'll successful in jodhaa akabr....yes he is!. He is one of the finest director indian film industry has. he understands story very minutely. you can see in his films.jodhaa akabr is not exception. it's simple love story..but gowarikar has given environment to the movie[in that time..social,culture, everything]. about performance, everyone excels...songs are ultimate...after spending 3 nad haf hours, you won't able to say..it is waste of time....Must watch..Mr. Gowarikar we are expecting more good movies from your side[As swades is one of my favourite movie]

I am a big time bollywood lover. The colors, the songs, the dances everything is something I can relate my childhood too, so when I say the movie is a bit too long, trust me, it is. I dont mind the movie. Its a one time watch. Hrithik is definitely someone who blows you away with his presence of mind, and posture. He has come far since Kaho na pyaar hai. Its a treat to watch him portray the legendary Akbar. Aish..hummm... she is just there. I mean, she has been casted because she is the prettiest thing on the planet. Her acting is plain, nothing special about it. Over all, its a must one time watch, but thats about it. 3.5 hours is a tad bit too much

I am anti Bollywood but this is unusual. At least a good movie with compare to other single subject stories. I gave it 5 if we talk about Bollywood then it is a film which can be represent India in Oscar, but there are still lots of deficiencies, which I don't think they can remove. Yes, I am anti bollywood because they have few topics for there movies, over acting and less use of technology. But wait a minute this movie is really something, They used over expensive sets to show great architectural abilities of Mughal Family, Music was really wounderful and I was excepting it because of a great music director A.R Rehman, Acting was also good, but in other hand there were many weak points like weak story, over acting and miss conceptions about real history, Hiritik Roshan acted very good, Aishwariya did a good work too, but director only showed a specific love story of Akbar, this is the thing from where I am anti Bollywood, why love, love and love stories Akbar did lots of things and they have only this to show. In the end I surprised when Indian people acted very strange and did strikes against this movie only because it contains a Muslim hero, this is narrow mind thinking, overall movie was a good start to show rest of the world that how great and rich was our history. And I love the song Mann Mohna very much. The strange thing was that a great King Akbar have a broad life in which he did a lot for his kingdom but what director showed is only his love story, and how a King have enough tome to this, this is funny, but actually the picture behind is the title which is Jodhaa a Hindu girl so basically this is story of her, so I am saying that lots of things happened in India, Pakistan, Lots of wars, lots of great kings like Tippu Sultan, Muhammad bin Qasim and many other these all have lots of stories so at least somebody have to show the world that there were lots of legends in this part of world lots of brave and great lords.

I loved this film. I just loved everything about this film. From the acting, to the screenplay, to the script, to the cinematography, to the beautiful mahals. It is just a fantastic film. I am a big time Hrithik Roshan fan but believe me this movie has a lot more in it than just him. Though, his acting was spectacular in the film. It is truly a must watch :)

All my friends said it is crap movie but still I took my family. Stupidity. BUT I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NEVER WATCH THIS MOVIE. NO ENTERTAINMENT, DRAGGING, BORING and Hrithik muscle showoff nothing else.

Jodhaa Akbar is just simply EPIC, as big and magical as Lagaan. A story about historical figures of the Mughal Empire, amazing presentation of an era once displayed in Mughal-E-Azam, and a beautiful story about The great Mughal Emperor and the Rajput Princess. Truly great performances by everyone in particular Hrithik and Aishwariya being outstanding.

As nowadays, the filmmakers ahve got the pulse of media and foreign investors or corporates right, Jodha Akbar is a big disappoinment. Ashutosh Gowarikar seems to have lost the focus on the story. He must get this one thing right, NOT EVERY MOVIE ON A PERIOD TOPIC can be made. What the hell is the filmmaker doing with the story? The story neither justifies the battle track nor the love story. Not a single stunt is of Hollywood class. Technically, our stunt directors must go to Hollywood as interns to learn the stunt coordination. Cinematography is not the class of Lagaan. Nitin Desai and Neeta Lulla are loudable. AR Rehman and Javed Akhtar are so so. On the whole, all the hype it generated and damage it did to the society, Jodha Akbar is not even worth its hype. This movie was OOOKAY...everyone keeps talking about the sets and costumes...but really, that's not what movies are about. I didn't have to spend 3 hours of my life being amazed at sets and costumes. I didn't like the fact that the movie was called JODHA AKBAR...but the movie was totally and completely focuses on AKBAR. they should've just called it AKBAR...AND...if I wanted to learn about king Akbar..I could've just as easily read a book about him that would have taken me less than 3 hours to read. This movie is called Jodha Akbar - the story should be only focuses on their lives...LOVE LIVES...untold stories...something that people can't read in books
