What a movie made by Rajkumar Hirani!I wonder where he gets such excellent concept from.It is perhaps the best Hindi movie that I have ever seen.All about careers and dreams and listening to your hearts so as to succeed.What an amazing film.Aamir Khan is as usual unmatchable supported brilliantly by his two friends;Sharman Joshi and Madhavan.Boman Irani once again is simply excellent and has shown his versatility.There are so many thing great about this film and one just doesn't get tired no matter how many times we have watched it.Life is all about listening to your heart and chasing your dreams.This is what 3 idiots is all about and has been shown in a great way.I am sure not only engineers but also other professionals must have learnt a lot from this movie.

good and nice movie... acting was natural....... but there were some goofs also......... and the film could have improved......... i dont agree with taran that there were no weak points, there were a few..... all in all a gud movie bt could have improved.....

Okay, I admit I only watched the first half, so I dont know if it gets really heart touching in the second, but I think the first half was outrageous. Reasons: 1. The hostel ragging scene: Do u think if aamir gets one senior on his first day, they will not come back and beat the blues out of him the next day. And were there only 3-4 seniors? 2.The scene were boman exclaims that NASA spent hundreds of crores to develop a pen to write in space and aamir remarks that they could write with pencil instead? Brilliant insight by hirani? If you dont already know, this thing happened when NASA visited a school in US and a student gave them this suggestion. Since then, NASA visits schools and involves schoolkids in their activities. Who knows, the next big idea may come from a nursery kid? Nobody goes to movie directors, do they? If you think hirani and aamir were brilliant here, maybe you watch sci fi films to understand science. And if NASA still spent that much money on making a pen, then they are the real idiots. 3. If you go and buy a 2,00,000 pair of shoes, and some one spills a coffee on it, wht will you do, shout at him or just humbly accept that the fact and smile away. Every1 will do the first thing, why is then kareena's earlier bfrnd made a joke then. 4. Do they allow you to take patient inside hospital in a scooty? 5. If you go to France to study and people get you to speak a obscene speech in French when you dont understand the meaning, will you find it funny? 6. Last, and most important, in my 17 years of education, more importantly, 5 years after school, no professor has ever told me to mug up definitions and theorems and concepts without understanding them. They find it stupid to do that. In my maths, economics classes, innovation is encouraged in every class. Think out of the box is a standard if implicit direction given to us. Nobody listens if I reproduce exact definition of Brouwer's Fixed Point theorem, they ask what does it mean? How can you use it in your subject. The caricatures of Boman, Chatur and aamir are just ridiculous. My professors agree that marks are important, but as long as they are not very bad, its what you understand is what matters to them.
