Vijay Deverakonda and Shouryuv’s next film adds Game of Thrones cinematographer Alejandro Martínez
Vijay Deverakonda and filmmaker Shouryuv have teamed up for a new project currently referred to as VDxShouryuv. Since its announcement, the film has generated attention for bringing together Indian and international talent across departments.
One of the key additions to the project is Alejandro Martínez, who has joined as cinematographer. Martínez is known for his work on major international productions including Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, Automata, Stay Alive and Fallout. His inclusion signals the makers’ intent to mount the film on a larger technical scale.
The announcement poster features Vijay Deverakonda walking forward while holding four dogs on metal leashes, with a group of men behind him. The visual suggests a rugged and commanding character while hinting at an intense narrative.
The project has also brought in Eric Durst as VFX supervisor. Durst is an Emmy-winning technician whose credits include Snowpiercer, Gods of Egypt and Batman Forever.
Editing duties will be handled by Praveen Antony, who previously worked on Hi Nanna. Production design is by Suresh Selvarajan, known for Animal and Om Shanti Om, while costumes will be designed by Sachin Lovalekar, whose credits include Tumbbad, Sam Bahadur and Sitaare Zameen Par.
The music for the film will be composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Director Shouryuv returns after the success of Hi Nanna, and with Vijay Deverakonda in the lead, the upcoming film is shaping up as one of the notable projects currently in development.
