Venkatesh Daggubati reveals how he was impressed with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Gangs of Wasseypur; says, “He is one of the best actors”

The countdown is on for the highly awaited release of Saindhav this Saturday on January 13, where audiences eagerly await Nawazuddin Siddiqui's captivating debut in the South film industry. The film stars Telugu superstar Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead role whereas Nawaz plays the antagonist with an ensemble cast in supporting characters. Venkatesh, who is not only happy about sharing screen space with the popular Bollywood actor, couldn’t stop gushing about him.

Venkatesh Daggubati was all praises for his Saindhav co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui and spoke about how he has always wanted to work with him. In a recent interaction, the Anari actor showered his admiration on Siddiqui saying, “I always wanted to work with Nawazuddin Siddiqui after watching him in Gangs Of Wasseypur. He is one of the best actors, and I am glad I could work with him in a wonderful film like Saindhav. Nawaz did an outstanding job in the film.”

 

Many actors in the past have expressed their love for Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his acclaimed acting skills. The actor, who started his career with miniscule roles in films like Sarfarosh, Shool, Jungle, among others, earned fame for his power packed role in Gangs of Wasseypur 2. Ever since then, Nawaz has featured in a variety of roles in films as well as web series.

 

Meanwhile, talking about Saindhav, the film revolves around SaiKO (Venkatesh) with a dark past, leading a quaint family life with his wife, Manogya, and daughter, Gayathri. However, his life takes a drastic turn when Gayathri is diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy and requires an injection of Zolgensma, which costs Rs.17 crores. He decides to go back to the world of crime in order to extract money for Gayathri's operation and soon begins an intense battle against his past rivals, which includes a ruthless gangster Vikas Malik.

 

The Telugu action thriller is expected to release on January 12.
