Venkatesh Daggubati reveals how his colleagues Chiranjeevi stopped him from retiring; says, “I would’ve gone to the Himalayas if not for him”

Venkatesh Daggubati, who is considered to be one of the biggest stars of Telugu Cinema, recently was honored at an event titled Venky 75. The event had Chiranjeevi as the chief guest with many other actors in attendance and the megastar seems to have got a tad bit emotional as he recalled his journey in the film industry. Apart from Telugu, Venkatesh has also left a mark in Hindi films with movies like Anari and Taqdeerwala.

In this event, Venkatesh Daggubati revealed that although his passion for acting remains unaffected by success or failures, there was a time when he considered quitting the film industry. However, the chief guest of the event and being a close friend Chiranjeevi stopped him from doing so and made him to do a film titled Khaidi No. 150 which released in 2017. “I would’ve gone to the Himalayas if not for Chiranjeevi,” added the F2 star. In the same breath, he also added how his other contemporaries Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nagarjuna also played an important role in his career. “Balakrishna and Nagarjuna also continued to inspire me with their work. My life would’ve been different if not for them,” he said.

 

The event was a treat to Venkatesh fans who continue to follow his inspiring film journey. He ended the event, leaving audiences curious about an upcoming project hinting at the possibility of him joining hands with Chiranjeevi. The latter said, “I want to do a film with my brother Venky,” and this banter continued as Venky added, “There will be a film with Chiranjeevi and it will be a hit, mark my words.” Needless to say, these words from the megastars garnered ample attention as fans can’t wait to see them together on the big screen.

 

Speaking of Venkatesh, the actor last featured in the Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and also in the web series Rana Naidu alongside his nephew Rana Daggubati.
