Turbo Trailer: Mammootty returns to his massy avatar in this high-octane action entertainer

Malayalam superstar Mammootty, who has been keeping his audiences entertained with his grey-shaded and emotionally sensitive roles, has decided to return to the quintessential massy avatar he is famous for. Even though he received applauds for his unconventional roles in his recent ventures, the actor decided to treat his fans with his entertaining action-packed role in the upcoming Turbo. The trailer of the film, which was unveiled on Sunday, May 12, has given a glimpse of the commercial avatar the actor will be portraying in the film.

The  2 minute 13 second trailer showcases the extensive adrenaline-pumping stunts that viewers can expect from this action entertainer. Of course, a very powerful Mammukka can be seen performing some larger-than-life, over-the-top stunts where he is seen fighting goons and combating several armed men single-handedly, as a treat to fans who love to see him in this massy look. Furthermore, the film marks his return in this kind of role after 2022 in Bheeshma Parvam. Apart from that, the video clip also hints at a massive showdown that the superstar is expected to have with actor Raj B Shetty, who is expected to be seen as the antagonist, as many scenes including one where the latter is threatening the actor indicates the underlying animosity between the duo.

Apart from the duo, the film also stars Anjana Jayaprakash, Sunil, Shabareesh Varma, Dileesh Pothan, Bindu Panicker, Amina Nijam, Kabeer Singh Duhan, and Niranjana Anoop in key roles. Directed by Vysakh, the film's technical crew comprises of Vishnu Sharma as the DOP, Shameer Muhammed as the editor, Phoenix Babu as the stunt director, along with Christo Xavier as the music director.

 

 

The film, produced by Mammootty himself under his banner Mammootty Kampany, is slated for a theatrical release on May 23.
