Peddi: Makers of Ram Charan starrer unveil new poster on Hanuman Jayanti; actor seen in Pehelwan avatar

The makers of Peddi marked Hanuman Jayanti by unveiling a new poster featuring Ram Charan in a rugged Peddi Pehelwan avatar. The latest visual presents the actor holding a mudgal, a traditional training tool associated with wrestling, hinting at the physically intense nature of his character in the film.

Sharing the poster on social media, the team extended festive greetings with the caption, “On this auspicious day, may we all be blessed with strength, devotion, and positivity. Happy Hanuman Jayanti! -Team #Peddi.” The timing of the reveal aligns with the spirit of the festival, often associated with strength and devotion, themes that appear to resonate with the film’s narrative.

 

 

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi has been steadily building curiosity among audiences since its announcement. The film is expected to feature Ram Charan in a distinct role set against a rural backdrop, with early promotional material suggesting a focus on physicality and grounded storytelling.

 

The project also boasts an ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. In addition, Shiva Rajkumar and Divyendu Sharma are part of the supporting cast, adding to the film’s multi-language appeal.

 

Music has played an important role in the film’s promotional campaign so far. The first track, ‘Chikiri Chikiri’, composed by A. R. Rahman, generated attention for its fresh sound. This was followed by ‘Rai Rai Raa Raa’, a high-energy number that has crossed over 47 million views on YouTube, indicating strong digital traction and audience engagement.

 

Peddi is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas, in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers. The film is positioned as a sports-action drama with rural elements, though the makers have kept specific plot details under wraps.

 

With each new content drop, the film continues to maintain visibility across platforms. Peddi is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on April 30, 2026.
