Meena asks media to stop spreading rumours about the demise of her husband; “I request media to respect our privacy” says the Drishyam actress in a heartfelt note

On Monday, we had reported that Vidya Sagar, husband of Tamil actress Meena passed away at a Chennai hospital. But followed by the news, many rumours regarding his demise and it being related to COVID-19 started doing the rounds. However, followed by these news pieces, the Drishyam actress took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note requesting the media to stop spreading rumours. In the same note, she also expressed her gratitude towards everyone who fought to save her husband.

Addressing the media, the actress wrote on Instagram saying, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of my loving husband Vidya Sagar. I sincerely request all media to respect our privacy and sympathise this situation. Please stop further broadcast of any false information on this matter.

 

Actress Meena also expressed her gratitude towards all those people who helped her in this time of need and tried their level best to save her husband Vidya Sagar. She added, “During these difficult times, I want to express my gratitude to all those good hearts who helped and stood with our family. I would like to thank all the Medical Team who tried their best, our Chief Minister, Health Minister, Radhakrishnan IAS, Colleagues, Friends, Family, Media & My loving fans for sending love and prayers. Thank You, Meena Sagar.”

 

 

In fact, on the day of demise, co-actress, Khusbhu Sundar too had taken to Twitter asking everyone to stop fabricating the news regarding the demise of Vidya Sagar. She had said, “I very humbly request the media to be little responsible. Meena's husband had COVID 3 months ago. COVID worsened his lung condition. Pls do not send out a wrong message & create any kind of fear or cause flutter by saying we lost Sagar to covid. Yes we need to cautious, but pls.”

 

Meena, who has been a part of some popular and blockbuster South cinema, lost her husband to lung infection, followed by which rumours of him passing away due to COVID started doing the rounds in media portals.
